What We Will Do
Ate an Object: (The list of things that our pets eat continues to grow!)
- Gather Historical Data: It is important to know how long ago the object was ingested and if it could possibly be seen in radiographs (X-ray)
- Gather Current Data: We will perform a through physical examination and take radiographs if needed.
- Treatment: Treatment will vary depending on the object and where it is located within the patient. Options include causing the patient to vomit, giving the patient time to pass the object by themselves, or if the object poses immediate danger, going directly into surgery to have the object removed.
